Welcome to Our Home

Back to Nature

There is a convenient deck plus 6 acres for smokers. Mornings in the country are fresh and invigorating. Early morning joggers may spot a pheasant, rabbits, or other species of wildlife. There is an unobstructed view of sunrise and sunset and the stars in the night sky are an inspiring sight.

Rates

Rates are $53 for two people; $47 for one person.  A 15% discount is available for weekly stays. This includes the CONTINENTAL-PLUS breakfast. We require one night’s lodging in advance to hold your reservation.  This can be paid with a personal check. After arrival the balance (if any) is due by either personal check or cash. A two night minimum stay is in effect only for special event weekends at the University of Illinois. Gift Certificates are also available, please call for details.

Homeyness

You may be greeted by our cats as you enter the house from the side porch. The entry room is decorated in Early American colors. Cool country breezes generally make the central air unnecessary.

Starting the Day

The dining room features false grained wainscoting and a mid-1800’s farm table where a continental-plus breakfast of fresh fruit, juice, muffins or coffee cake, cereal, coffee and tea are served.  Melons and berries from the garden are served in season.  New friendships are often made during the lively conversations at breakfast.
