As an alternative to high rise hotel or motel monotony, bed and breakfast has been growing in popularity in this country for the past several years.  In a bed and breakfast, the hosts live in the house and are available to answer any questions and make recommendations to the guests.  While we are located in the country with all the solitude and quiet associated with country life, we are also close to restaurants, parks and shops.  We are a 15-20 minute drive from the University of Illinois.

Rita and Bob Gold have maintained the charm and originality of this classic nine-room farm house, while updating it for modern living.  It is tastefully furnished with antique country furniture collected over the past 30 years and features Early American stenciling in all the rooms.  Since retiring from full-time jobs, Bob spends his “spare” time restoring antiques, going to country auctions and keeping up with chores around the house and six acres and Rita enjoys gardening and babysitting with grandchildren.
